The SGK New Year’s Cup is one of the most renowned U10/U12 tournaments in Germany. 48 regional, national, and international teams come together to celebrate the start of the new year in Heidelberg-Kirchheim.
Each team plays six (U10) or seven (U12) competitive games against strong and exciting opponents. Games take place on four courts across two large sports halls with 2.60 m baskets. The tournament can be followed online, with licensed referees, a team photo, individual player photos, and professional game photos for every team included. A festive award ceremony and medals for all players are part of the experience. Well-balanced breaks and extensive catering ensure players get the rest and energy they need throughout the tournament.
The SGK New Year’s Cup aims to provide an unforgettable basketball experience that inspires young players and strengthens their passion for the game. The main goal is fun for all participating children, a supportive environment, and a positive tournament atmosphere. Interested teams can now apply for participation.
